In 1978, realizing that progress in cardiac pacing and the proper application of new technology require a close collaboration between physicians and industry, Jacques Mugica created Cardiostim. This achievement could not have been made possible without the collaboration of Seymour Furman, an American doctor. Cardiostim has therefore been, from its very first edition, US-oriented.

From 250 participants in 1978, Cardiostim soon became one of the most important meetings in pacing and electrophysiology, with more than 5,700 participants from all over the world in 2016.

This success resides in the identity of Cardiostim, i.e. the mix between education, community and innovation. Cardiostim also benefits from a unique location where it has been taking place since 1992: Nice.

This identity has been built over the years and according to the changes Cardiostim underwent. Indeed, in 2003, following Jacques Mugica’s death, Philippe Ritter became Cardiostim new chairman. 2008 marked a change of ownership: Reed Expositions France acquired Cardiostim.
